In memory of Voortrekker, The Desert Elephant and other Desert Elephants.
The Namibian Elephant Coalition is a dedicated group focused on the conservation and protection of Namibia's iconic elephant populations. Comprising local stakeholders, conservationists, and communities, the coalition works collaboratively to address the challenges facing these majestic creatures, including habitat loss and human-wildlife conflict. Their efforts include promoting sustainable land use, enhancing anti-poaching measures, and fostering community engagement to ensure a harmonious coexistence between people and elephants. Through their commitment and expertise, the Namibian Elephant Coalition aims to secure a future where elephants thrive in their natural habitats, contributing to the ecological balance and cultural heritage of Namibia.
The Namibian Elephant Coalition is a Voluntary Association of Organizations and People who care about the Conservation of the Namibian Elephants, both Desert-adapted and Savannah.
