Artist and conservation advocate Petro Diamant will undertake an extraordinary journey: walking the entire South African coastline from the Namibian border at the Orange River mouth to the Mozambique border. © THE BLUE EDGE EXPEDITION
The walk will document the country’s rivers, estuaries, lagoons, marine protected areas, wildlife habitats, and coastal communities. Along the way Petro will interview scientists, conservationists, and local residents for her podcast © Conservation Conversation by Petro Diamant while raising awareness about marine and terrestrial conservation.
The project, led by EARTH ALIVE 365, aims to reconnect people with the coastline and highlight both its incredible biodiversity and the urgent need to protect it.
This journey will turn South Africa’s coastline into a living classroom, inspiring communities, schools, and organisations to become guardians of our oceans, rivers, and wildlife.
